Construction and development

The series is described as based on German transformer designs introduced in the mid-1990s and developed further from JBK3 with features of comparable overseas products. Terminal blocks are integrated with the bobbin to reduce accidental contact; the brochure prints the protection designation IP2LX. Cold-pressed connection terminals permit more compact wiring.

Argon-arc welding joins the silicon-steel laminations to one another and to the base plate as an integrated assembly. The base is formed in one operation for more accurate mounting dimensions than JBK3. Corrosion-resistant alloy materials are used to improve the reliability of the earthing connection.

The brochure states conformity with VDE0550, IEC204-1, EC439, JB5555 and GB5226 and describes interchangeability with overseas products. These references are retained as printed and are not independently verified certification claims.

Applications

For AC 50/60 Hz, input voltage not exceeding 500 V and rated output voltage not exceeding 220 V. Supplies control circuits, task lighting and signal lamps for mechanical equipment and general electrical apparatus.

JB: machine-tool transformer; K: control; 5 or 6: design sequence; suffix: rated capacity; tropical-service code TH: humid tropical, TA: dry tropical.
