Elevator Control Transformers

Overview and construction

Developed from the JBK5 machine-tool control transformer. Uses low-loss silicon-steel laminations, flame-retardant bobbins and terminals, Class H oxygen-free copper wire, Class H insulation varnish and insulation materials. CNC argon-arc welding joins the laminations and base into a single assembly, followed by overall vacuum-pressure varnish impregnation.

The brochure highlights compact construction, a neat appearance, low ripple, low power consumption, high control capacity and a high protection level. Mounting dimensions are described as equivalent to JBK5.

Application scope

For AC 50–60 Hz circuits with rated voltage not exceeding 1000 V and DC110 V, AC110 V or AC220 V outputs. Primarily for elevators and commercial goods lifts; also for other equipment requiring combined AC and DC power supplies.

Features

Rated input has ±5% taps. A gas-shielded argon-arc-welded core is described as ungapped, low-loss and quiet.
