J: local; M: lighting; B: transformer; suffix: rated capacity in VA.
Winding arrangement
Primary and secondary windings are wound separately. If only one secondary winding is provided, it carries the full rated transformer capacity. Where control, lighting and indicator windings are combined, each is wound according to its allocated capacity.
For a single tapped secondary winding, intermediate taps have capacities lower than the transformer rating. Only the highest-voltage output terminals can carry full rated capacity.
Operating environment
Altitude not exceeding 2500 m. Ambient air temperature from -25°C to +40°C. The maximum mean relative humidity in the wettest month is 90%.
Install where there is no severe vibration or impact, no explosive atmosphere, and no gases or conductive dust sufficient to corrode metal or damage insulation.
The brochure’s sixth environmental condition reads “locations exposed to rain and snow”; this original wording is retained and requires confirmation against the supplied enclosure rating.
