Overview
Designed as an alternative to conventional voltage-regulator heating supplies. The brochure describes typical heating-wire operating voltages of approximately 3–80 V at high current; prolonged high contact temperature between a regulator’s carbon brush and winding may damage the winding contact surface.
A conventional autotransformer retains a conductive connection to the mains, including at a 3 V setting. JY transformers are described as providing mains isolation, low voltage, high current, contactless transformer operation, reliability and prolonged duty. An electronic voltage regulator can be added for smooth stepless output adjustment.
