Medium-frequency Ozone-generator Transformers

Overview

The transformer transfers power and matches the electronic power circuit output to the discharge chamber. Requirements differ from ordinary transformers because both load magnitude and load character change substantially between ignition and normal operation.

A selected amount of leakage inductance is required to balance those changes and protect electronic components. Leakage inductance can also cause circuit losses and transient overvoltage during commutation, so it must be selected for the actual electronic circuit.

Applications

The brochure lists disinfection and pesticide-residue reduction for vegetables, fruit and meat in public canteens at schools, military units, government institutions and factories. It also lists ozonated-water disinfection in drinking-water plants, food plants, pharmaceutical and cosmetics plants, aquaculture farms, wastewater treatment plants, swimming pools, warehouses and residential water supplies.
