Overview

The core is continuously wound from high-quality silicon-steel strip that changes uniformly from narrow to wide and back to narrow, with no cut in the core and an approximately circular cross-section. Compared with traditional C- and E-core transformers, the brochure highlights low leakage flux, low temperature rise, compact dimensions, low weight and quiet operation.

Applications include audio, television and broadcasting equipment, satellite receivers, photocopiers, computers, medical instruments, electronic balances and other electronic apparatus.

The manufacturer describes single- and three-phase R-core products ranging from R10VA–30KVA and SR1KVA–SR10KVA, with other capacities available on enquiry.
